FUSONI COMPONENTES S.L. aims to address three research lines as a result of the project:
- New release agents for ecological wood panels, based on solvents and biorenewables as alternatives to the VOCs currently used.
- New sustainable flame retardants for both MDF wood boards and plywood as well as OSB panels.
- New curing catalysts for more efficient boards with lower formaldehyde emissions.
The new formulations resulting from the proposed research face the main challenge of seeking optimal environmental performance (lower environmental impact, reduced emissions, reduction of product toxicity).
